Happy New Year, My Dearest Anthoula and Alexandra,
As another year comes to a close, my thoughts are filled with you. I miss you deeply and often imagine how you have grown. This year, I’ve sent you a couple of New Year’s cards along with some photos I created. These images represent how I envision you, Anthoula, and Alexandra, at around 17 to 19 years old. The results are truly astonishing, a testament to the remarkable advancements in technology in just a few short years.

I have also included a video of Thessaloniki’s new Metro, which officially began operation on December 1st. This project, completed after 18 long years, overcame numerous challenges and obstacles along the way. It is an extraordinary example of how cooperation and perseverance can resolve even the most difficult conflicts. The debates between the Hellenic Government, archaeologists, engineers, and historians eventually led to a compromise, ensuring the preservation of our Hellenic legacy. Their commitment to protecting our history reflects the values of a civilized and democratic society.
Thessaloniki Metro – From Antiquity to Modernity
The Thessaloniki Metro is now a unique global marvel, a living museum that showcases 2,500–3,000 years of Hellenic culture, heritage, and civilization. It is a reminder that you, Anthoula, and Alexandra, are part of this rich legacy.
As I shared in an earlier message, Anna has recently completed her studies in European and International Law and has begun her Master’s degree in Cybersecurity. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of mentoring Anna, offering guidance and support whenever she sought it. I wish I had been given the same opportunity to guide you, my precious Anthoula, and Alexandra. Sadly, this right was taken from me, a loss I feel with a lot of pain every day.
From the very beginning, I paid attention to the smallest details about you Anthoula, and Alexandra. It didn’t take long for me to realize that you were two remarkable girls—brilliant, full of intellect, and brimming with potential. It was a potential I longed to nurture alongside you, to guide and support you in achieving your dreams, and to watch you flourish in the paths you chose. But life denied me that precious right, and the pain of that loss remains overwhelming.

Another matter I wish for you to know and understand Anthoula and Alexandra, I did not leave my homeland, Hellas, because I desired to live in Sweden. In truth, I never liked Sweden. I left Hellas for your mother’s sake, to allow her to grow and succeed in her life, as she claimed to have a degree in Psychology. Unfortunately, your mother lacked the ambitions or goals to truly develop herself.
From the very beginning of our acquaintance, her agenda was already determined. The plan we made together—to spend a few years in Sweden so she could gain experience as a psychologist, and then return to Hellas as a family—was abandoned without discussion.
It has now been eight years since I have been separated from you, my dearest Anthoula and Alexandra. During this time, I have been working diligently to address and resolve the challenges and disorders left behind after your mother decided to take you away from me. This process is nearing completion, and Papa will have to determine the next steps to move forward.
I wish you both a year filled with joy, health, and strength my dearest daughters. Life can be challenging, but remember: there is always light at the end of the tunnel. Trust in your strength and never lose hope—goodness prevails, and justice always endures in the end.
Daddy Will Always Love you Anthoula and Alexandra
To my Princesses with all my love,
Papa Nic
